About Trip:
Round Dhaulagiri is one of the most challenging and adventurous trekking destinations that offers high altitude trekking. The major attraction of this trek is Mount Dhaulagiri (8137m) which is the sixth highest mountain peak of the world above the Kali Gandaki River. The trek starts from the capital city, Kathmandu to Beni by bus, after reaching Beni, we begin our trekking on foot. During the trek, we visit many beautiful valleys, come across many cultivated fields and dense forests.
The trail is full of different ethnic groups reside such as Gurung, Chhetri, and Magar etc. After we stay there for a few days, we head to Italian base camp. After we reach Italian base camp, we will get chance to explore the exciting and scenic views of Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, and V. As the trek is challenging, travelers will have to take some good rest few days for reconciling with the altitude.
After we get to rest, we head to Dhaulagiri north base camp and continue the trek to fantastic passes, the French pass (5,240 m) and Thapa pass (5,155 m).
