About Trip:
Chola pass and Everest base camp are one of the famous and frequently visited trekking areas in the Himalayan region. It is an adventure trekking destination full of challenges that cover spectacular vantage points lying in this region. The trek takes us to Chola pass which is one of the famous passes of Nepal and to Mt. Everest (8848m) which is the worlds highest mountain peak.
The trek begins from the arrival to Lukla then to Namche Bazaar. To meet our destination, we will cover many beautiful places and valleys of Solukhumbu District such as Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorekshep, Kalapathar, etc. After we head on to Zongla, we will cross the beautiful Cho-La pass.
Then the trail goes to Everest base camp which is difficult but adventurous. Trekkers will experience high altitude, view fantastic and breathtaking mountain views, enjoy awesome sceneries. It is the most popular and adventurous trek one would ever experience. Trekkers will be able to explore the lifestyle and humanity of Sherpa communities, their culture, and tradition. Besides we will experience beautiful and overwhelming natural beauty and sceneries.

Trip Itinerary
When you land Kathmandu in Tribhuvan International airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from adventure high pass. First we complete your Visa and other custom formalities; you will be transferred to the hotel organized by Great Vision along with your luggage. You then check in and take rest or you can visit our office and hang around as per your interest. You stay overnight at Kathmandu.
We will take early morning flight from Kathmandu (1400m). There are many flights for Lukla (2840 m). The flight duration from Kathmandu to Lukla is approximately 35 minutes. After we reach Lukla, we take rest for an hour while our guides and local porters prepare for the trip. After an hour rest, our trail begins to Phakding (2610 m).
From Phakding trail leads to Dudh Koshi River and valley lying to its west bank. Climbing steeply towards Benkar through a rocky ridge, we head to the magnificient forests of magnolia, giant firs and rhododendron which make the trail beautiful to walk in. We climb up to Monjo (2840m) across the kyashar and enter the Sagarmatha National Park lying beyond Monjo. Way to entrance station makes a steep rocky descent where we cross Dudh Koshi River leading us to Namche Bazaar (3420m)
After a hectic day, you need to take rest and prepare for further higher trek. This day will be a hiking day for you where we hike to the villages of Khumjung and Khunde. Our hike start from Shyanboche airstrip via climbing one hour and lead to Khunde where we pass through numerous stone Buddhist monuments. After Khunde, we head east to the large Khumjung village lying at the foot of the sacred mountain Khumbila. We then have lunch and rest for a while then follow to Chhorkung (3540m) and back to Namche Bazaar.
After hiking in Namche, we resume our trail by heading up and down the hill taking the glimpse of giant Snowy Mountain at Shanasa. 2 and half hours of hike in Shanasa and head towards the top of Mong La Pass where we can view the amazing Mt. Khubilla, Mt. Ama Dablam and Kantega. The trail leads us to riverside village named Phortse Tenga through forested region and after a long uphill trek through beautiful forest of oaks, rhododendrons and pines we reach in Dole.
Climb up to the open hill for approx thirty minutes to the hill above Dole offering spectacular mountain views of Cho Oyu. The trail heads to Lapharma village and walking about 2 hours beyond Lapharma leads to Luja. We take a short break here and continue to climb up the valley side above the river and cross spurs to grasp Machharmo where we rest, take luch and explore around.
Today is that the massive day of Mount Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake. We tend to get to the land of Gokyo Lakes. It takes one hour to reach Phanga through the leveled path that wind passes through elevated grazing lands. At Phanga we will observe the memorials of individuals who have lost their lives throughout the landslides within the region. On the far side Phanga, we will trek slides down for a brief whereas and so step by step goes up the stony steps for associate hour to the stream. We cross the metal bridge over the stream and find into the Gokyo-Land. Welcome to Gokyo, we tend to square measure currently facing the primary Lake of Gokyo. Still walk up on the stony steps for thirty minutes to the Secong Lake of Gokyo. 45 minutes of walk on the leveled path on stony steps finally brings us to 3rd Lake of Gokyo. We'll relax within the Mountain Lodge at Gokyo.
Early morning climb to Gkyo Ri. It is the challenging climb as it is lofty and takes 3 – 4 hours to make it to the top. Though it is challenging, it’s adventurous and we can view amazing Gokyo village lying on the edge of 3rd lake unnoticed by Cholatse and the great Nogzumpa Glacier. We will be all surrounded by spectacular mountains such as Thamserku, Cholatse, Kusum Kanguru, Everest, Pumori, Taboche, Makalu, Changtse Lhotse and Nuptse. You will be amazed to see the sight of sunrays seems like kissing the Everest which also towers over the surrounding mountains. The trail resumes from Ngazumpa Glacier to the mountain and then meanders into Thagnak. We take rest this day after and prepare for long hiking days.
Today is the toughest trekking day of our trail as the Cho La pass is steep and includes glacier traverse to the east side. Thought it is not difficult itself but we should be careful during walking to the vertical trail. During the trail, we may slip as the rocks are glazed by ice which makes trail slippery. Trekking through the frozen lake leads us to the top of pass which is decorated by prayer flags. We can view beautiful peaks during the trail and reach Dzongla village through crevasses. This village provides amazing views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse and Lobuche even Pheriche village far below.
This is one of the shortest treks throughout the trail so after a short trek you can get rest and enjoy the surrounding beauty. We head down from Dzongla and walk within a grass covered path whereas enjoying the read of Lobuche Peak. The path curves through the wide river bed before reaching Lobuche. We are able to pay the remainder of day taking a rest which can help in preparation for consecutive day’s long trek.
We take the path to Mount Everest Base Camp through the once huge Gorak Shep Lake. Continuing straight ahead, we tend to come upon the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. The path from here is misleading; thus, it's necessary that we follow our lead Sherpa diligently. The walk is exhausting as a result of thin air within the high altitude. Before we reach the Base camp, we walk through moraine, streams and rocky dunes. After we reach base camp, we can see many tents of mountaineers standing out in bright colors. We can also view other peaks such as Pumori, Nuptse and Khumbuste. After experiencing outstanding trip we head back to Gorak Shep. We stay overnight and get good rest. Beside we can also visit Kala Patthar so that we can experience admirable sunset view which is more adorable than sunrise view.
After we departure from Gorak Shep, we head to Kala Patthar. If we departure early morning, the climate will be cold due to chilly winds. On our way, we will experience peaks such as Everest, Khumbutse, Changtse tower and Ligtren. We can enjoy the magnificent Himalaya Panoroma.
The trail takes down through the hillside green forest of juniper trees and rhododendron then we cross the prayer flag festooned bridge over Dudh Koshi River following Dudh Koshi Gorge through pine forest. We can explore colorful pheasants and mountain goats in the forest. We then reach to Sansa experiencing Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Thamserku mountains. We reach at Namche Bazzar by passing winding trail and forest. We take Dinner and stay overnight for good sleep.
As the trail steps down steeply so we need to walk very carefully as our legs are shaky and frequently get ang fight in the rocky terrain. After we cross the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, the trail becomes natural and easy and we arrive in Lukla. We take a good rest, relax and celebrate and stay overnight.
In this day, we will have a flight to Kathmandu before that you can have shopping, collect souvenirs as per your wish and head to Kathmandu.
Today, we tour to heritage sites at Kathmandu. We start a guide tour from your hotel to four heritage site in Kathmandu which is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First we visit to Pashupatinath Temple situated in Gausala and banks of Bagmati River where Aryaghat, famous funeral site for Hindus lies. After sightseeing, we visit to Boudhanatha, the Buddhists shrine which is one of the largest stupa in the world. Boudhhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages that include over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries and popular tourist destination. Tour leads to Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur holds the medieval king’s palaces who had ruled over Kathmandu Kingdom once. Our last tour will be Swayambhu (the self-existent) which is one of the famous touristic areas where we find large number of monkey population. After sightseeing, we go back to you hotel and you can take rest and stay.
Transfer to international airport for final departure This is the day of your departure so you can have shopping and celebrate your successful trekking journey. Our representative with driver will take you to airport on time.
