Langtang and Gosainkunda trekking offers a remarkable and beautiful journey through the Langtang valley. Gosainkunda is one of the holy lake of Nepal. Many Hindus and Buddhist visit here to worship. Its a pilgrimage trekking too. The trek begins from Trishuli bazaar to Dhunche, Syabrubensi and finally reaches to Langtang valley.

We will explore Langtang national park where we get chance to see some wild animals and birds such as musk deer, pika, Danphe (national bird of Nepal), etc. We pass through oak and rhododendron forests and even cross glacial moraine on our way to the Tamang village of Langtang.

After taking some rest in the valley is Kyangin Gompa, we head further to Nubamatang, nestled in a hidden valley and view the glaciers, which mark the gateway into Tibet. Then we reach to the holy lake gosainkunda situated in the Syabru and Sing Gompa to a high plateau. It is a scared lake where many Hindus visit this pilgrimage lake to bathe during the August full moon in the festival of Janai Purnima. It is also rich in its natural beauty that offers terraced slopes, settlement of different ethnic group, rare wild animals and diverse range of flora and fauna.

        Langtang valley trekking is one of the most popular and adventurous trekking lying in the north part of Kathmandu, in the Himalayan region. The trek offers a multitude of trekking destinations. Situated at the south Tibetan border, Langtang valley is surrounded by the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south.

        Langtang valley trek begins from Trisuli River north of Kathmandu, through Trisuli Bazaar, we head towards Dhunche and finally reach Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village, and farmlands of the people. Many people living there are originally from Tibet. During the trekking, we will visit Langtang National Park located at the very edge of the Park and get a chance to see some wild animals and birds. Among them are the monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe.

        After crossing many rivers along a gorge and pass through oak and rhododendron forests and glacial moraine we reach to Kyangjin Gompa (3,740 m) then to Gompa which is also a gateway to Tibet. Finally, we reach the Langtang valley. The trek is in the remote area exploring the Langtang region and experiencing exciting moment at high mountain lakes Gosainkund and the beautiful valley ' Helambu'.

          Langtang-Tamang Heritage Trek

          Tamang heritage trail situated in Langtang region and north of Kathmandu is the newly opened trekking route that covers culture, religion and daily lifestyle of Tamang community of Langtang region. It is developed by Rural Poverty Alleviation Program (RPAP) for tourism.

          The trail begins from Syabrubesi and passes through Gatlang, Tatopani, Thuman, and Briddim. We go forward to the classic Langtang Valley Trek from Briddim village from Kyanjin Gompa. Gatlang set on high on a hillside among terraced fields is a Tamang settlement and we can visit Tamang Buddhist monastery.

          We will visit the settlement of Tamang villages and experience the lifestyle (on agriculture and trade) of people and their culture which has remained untouched virtually and discover the rough history of Tibetan ancestor. We can see Rhododendron forests and many different species of trees, birds, and butterflies during March and April. People there dress colorful and their houses are adorned with beautiful woodcarvings. We can also experience many snow-capped mountains such as Langtang, Ganesh Himal, etc which is unforgettable.

            Gosainkunda is a scared lake of Nepal situated at Langtang region close to capital city, Kathmandu.
