Langtang valley trekking is one of the most popular and adventurous trekking lying in the north part of Kathmandu, in the Himalayan region. The trek offers a multitude of trekking destinations. Situated at the south Tibetan border, Langtang valley is surrounded by the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south.
Langtang valley trek begins from Trisuli River north of Kathmandu, through Trisuli Bazaar, we head towards Dhunche and finally reach Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village, and farmlands of the people. Many people living there are originally from Tibet. During the trekking, we will visit Langtang National Park located at the very edge of the Park and get a chance to see some wild animals and birds. Among them are the monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe.
After crossing many rivers along a gorge and pass through oak and rhododendron forests and glacial moraine we reach to Kyangjin Gompa (3,740 m) then to Gompa which is also a gateway to Tibet. Finally, we reach the Langtang valley. The trek is in the remote area exploring the Langtang region and experiencing exciting moment at high mountain lakes Gosainkund and the beautiful valley Helambu.

Trip Itinerary
Upon the arrival at Tribhuban International Airport, a representative from Adventure High Pass will receive you and transfer to the hotel have booked We will go to Adventure High Pass if you arrive earlier in a day, if not we will make settlement of due amount and introduce guide.
Today, we tour to heritage sites at Kathmandu. We start a guide tour from your hotel to four heritage site in Kathmandu which is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First we visit to Pashupatinath Temple situated in Gausala and banks of Bagmati River where Aryaghat, famous funeral site for Hindus lies. After sightseeing, we visit to Boudhanatha, the Buddhists shrine which is one of the largest stupa in the world. Boudhhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages that include over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries and popular tourist destination. Tour leads to Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur holds the medieval king’s palaces who had ruled over Kathmandu Kingdom once. Our last tour will be Swayambhu (the self-existent) which is one of the famous touristic areas where we find large number of monkey population. After sightseeing, we go back to you hotel and you can take rest and prepare for trekking.
Early morning after breakfast we will drive to Syabru Besi. During the drive, we come across the hilly winding road beside Trishuli River and experience fun mixing adventure with great view of terraced fields, rivers and forest. Dhuche is the district headquarters of both Rasuwa district and Langtang National Park”. After Dhunche we will drive down to Syabru Besi. We stay overnight in a hotel.
This is our first day of trekking. We follow the Langtang Khola River and pass across the dense green forests. We walk through the suspension bridges. After passing by a tea house, we walk up and down hill.
From Lama Hotel we head towards the Mundu Village. The trail continues through the dense forest along with the steady climb up through the valley and leaving the tree line behind us. We can view the marvelous Langtang Lirung. From Mundu, we head to Langtang village which was affected severely during the earthquake where 400 people lost their life and destroyed entire village as well as infrastructure. But we can see the ruins of the village as their life is slowly building back and few tea houses are reopened.

After taking rest and breakfast, we continue our trip to Kyanjing Gompa which is the principal monastery of the region. During the trail, we pass through water mills, chortens, and prayer wheels with sacred mounds of rocks with inscription carved on them. We will be amazed to see Nepal’s largest mani wall made of stone with prayers written on them. We will rest the day and explore the Buddhist shrine, beautiful mountains, etc.
Today we will take rest and explore beautiful Kyanjing Gompa. Here we can visit monastery and the cheese factory. Short walk leads us up to the moraine where we can see the amazing ice faces and beautiful glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m). This is the highest point of the trek lying exactly behind the village where we can have a beautiful view of Langtang peaks. After exploring the area we stay overnight at tea house.
We rejoin the same trail to Lama Hotel where we stay overnight taking rest and enjoying our delicious dinner.
We wake up early morning; have breakfast return back to Sybru Bensi leaving mountains behind us. We stay overnight in a guest house.
We take a bus from Syabru Bensi that drives us back to Kathmanu which takes about 8 hours
You can have final shopping for your family and friends.
This is your last day in Kathmandu so you can enjoy your meal, go shopping before flight. Our representative with driver will take you to the airport for departure.
