Day to Day Detail Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
Upon the arrival at Tribhuban International Airport, a representative from Adventure High Pass will receive you and transfer to the hotel have booked
We will go to Adventure High Pass if you arrive earlier in a day, if not we will make settlement of due amount and introduce guide.
Day 2 : Kathmandu city tour and trek preparation
Today, we tour to heritage sites at Kathmandu. We start a guide tour from your hotel to four heritage site in Kathmandu which is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First we visit to Pashupatinath Temple situated in Gausala and banks of Bagmati River where Aryaghat, famous funeral site for Hindus lies. After sightseeing, we visit to Boudhanatha, the Buddhists shrine which is one of the largest stupa in the world. Boudhhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages that include over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries and popular tourist destination. Tour leads to Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur holds the medieval king’s palaces who had ruled over Kathmandu Kingdom once. Our last tour will be Swayambhu (the self-existent) which is one of the famous touristic areas where we find large number of monkey population. After sightseeing, we go back to you hotel and you can take rest and prepare for trekking.
Day 3 : Kathmandu to Arughat and Sotikhola(535m) by Jeep
A westward 70km scenic drive on the Prithvi main road, through the wooded Middle Hills, results in Malekhu. A 30km secondary tarred road heads north, over the Trisuli Nadi, towards Dhading Besi and a furrowed 35km dirt road northwest to Arughat on the Budhi Gandaki. The dirt road winds upwards towards the Gola Bhanjyang where we can view mountains such as Ganesh, Baudha and Manaslu Himals.
Day 4 : Sotikhola to Doban
We come across to the beautiful Sal forest, terraced ridges and pass many waterfalls. Walking through the narrow at the side of cliffs, we arrive at village of Machha Khola. Following the river to Khorlabesi, we reach a place where buckwheat, tobacco and coffe are grown.
Our path then enters a lush slender gorge that constricts the river’s progress. On the far side is a landslide with a chancy path, shortly before the triple natural spring spouts in Tatopani. The path then climbs a ridge before crossing the Budhi Gandaki on a span (to avoid an enormous geological formation face and waterfalls). A decent stairs, results in a landslide before a final ridge climb to Dobhan.
Day 5 : Doban to Philim
Climbing up the rockey ridge to Salleri, we descend to Setibas. The trail widens up as we climb up the Ghatta Khola. We continue the trail crossing the upstream to a long suspension bridge we climb up to Philim which is a large village of Gurung community.
Day 6 : Philim to Chumling
From Philim we come across the forest viewing narrow valley, cross the gorge at Ekla Bhatti and enter the pine tree forests. We then head down to Tsum valley where we can see forest of pine and rhododendron with views of Himalchuli Mountains. Then we climb down to Ghumlong and climb up to Ripchet we finally reach Chumling via Shiar Khola where we visit old Chumling gompa.
Day 7 : Chumling to Chhokangparo
The trail continues crossing the suspension bridge and enjoying the views of great Ganesh Himal. We walk through Rainjham that leads us to Serpu Khola and heading to the hidden valley of Tsum. From Tsum, we steep climb taking us to Chhokangparo village. Here we can enjoy amazing Himalchuli view (7893m).
Day 8 : Chhokangparo to Chhule-Nile (3361m)
As we climb up the Chhokangparo, the altitude is low so we should be careful. We pass Lamagaon to Rachen Gompa. Climb up to Milarpa’s cave, cross the Shiar Khola, walk through the Phurbe and Pangdun villages. We cross the Chhule villages and walk up stream till we reach Nile.
Day 9 : Chhule to Mugumba (3700m)
We walk up and down series heading towards Mugumba. It is one of the oldest monasteries in this region. There is no human settlement due to remote area. Mugumba lies at the highest and farthest point in Tsum valley.
Day 10 : Mugumba to Chhumling
We stay overnight in Mugumba and next day we wake up early to head Chhumling.
Day 11 : Chumling to Ghap
From chumling we head towards Ghap where we stay overnight.
Day 12 : Ghap to Lhogaun
We climb up to the forest and head towards Lihi. Here we get chance to view spectacular rise of the Ganesh Himal. We descend to Lhogaun via steep climb.
Day 13 : Lhogaun to Samagaun
Walking through the shady fir forest and a short climb we head to Shyala village. At the top, we will be surrounded by huge Mountains. Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli and Himal Chuli to the left, Large glacier and Manaslu straight ahead likewise other snow summit to the right. We can see Ganesh Himal standing far away. Walking ahead we will reach Samagaun which is the inhabitant of Tibetans.
Day 14 : Rest Day at Samagaun, one hour hike to Birendra Lake and return to Samagaun
Today we take a rest and explore within Samagaun. We will hike for an hour to Birendra Lake, visit the well known monastery Sama, experience the culture of people and have a good dinner.
Day 15 : Samagaun to Samdo
We descend to Budi Gandaki on the north while the trail leads to Manaslu Base Camp from the left. We walk through the widen valleys passing through the Mani walls. The trail passes through the large white kani leading us to Samdo.
Day 16 : Samdo to Dharmasala
We continue our trail through wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki, cross two streams experiencing Larkya Glacier and go around the Salka Khola that leads up as to Dharmasala also called Larkya Phedi. It is a stone guest house and we stay overnight here.
Day 17 : Dharmasala, pass Larke Pass (5130 m ) and continue to Bhimthang
From Dharmasala, we walk across the moraines of the glacier to the pass. We can have spectacular views of Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, the huge Annapurna II and Kangguru from the pass. Experiencing the sceneries, we head to Bhimthang.
Day 18 : Bhimthang to Dharapani
We walk through the rhododendron forest to Karche which is the highest cultivationg place then descend to Gho village. Walking through the Tilje village, crossing the Dudh Koshi and wooden bridge we will reach Dharapani.
Day 19 : Dharapani to Jagat
From Dharapani we head to Jagat.
Day 20 : Jagat to beshishahar by local Jeep and drive to Kathmandu by car.
Day 21 : Free day in Kathmandu
After long trekking to Himalaya, final day in Himalayan kingdom for shopping and relax.
Day 22 : Departure
Drive to Airport.
