Trip Itinerary
When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our company will meet you there and drive you in a private vehicle to your accommodation. The representative will give you a quick explanation of your trip as well as all the items you might need along the route as you travel.
The historic capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, is home to numerous ancient artworks, temples, and structures. Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, Swyambhunath Stupa, and other places are among the world heritage sites in Kathmandu.
It will be one of the most exciting days of the entire voyage as you will be able to trace your ancestry back to ancient civilization by seeing these places. All of these locations are worthwhile visiting due to their cultural value.
You will visit the marketplace to do some last-minute shopping following the successful city tour. For all Nepalese hikers and climbers, Thamel is the place to go shopping.
You will take a morning flight to Lukla. One of the best experiences of your life will be flight. You will be able to see the lushest landscapes and the entire Himalayan range in an amazing vision.
You will arrange your bags after arriving in Lukla, meet the rest of the group, and then travel to Chatunga. You will pass several little Sherpa villages that are spaced out along the route. By touching and observing the Buddhist Mani walls and prayer wheels, you will advance.
The trail ascends through farmland and woodlands. A few stone homes make up Chatunga, which is encircled by cliffs and mountains. You will stay the night in a neighborhood teahouse.
After finishing your breakfast in Chhuthang, you'll head to Tuli Kharkha. You will approach a steep tracked slope as you go further on the route. Since you'll be using all of your effort to reach the summit of Zatrawala Pass, this will be the first challenging climb of your Mera Peak expedition.
From the summit, you can take beautiful views of numerous mountains, including Lumding Himal, Number Himal, Kongdi Ri, and Karyolang Peak. After that, it would take you close to an hour or more to descend to Thuli Kharka through Chattre. You will pass through some Yak pasture regions as you travel the paths.
The final trekking hours will be enjoyable because you'll see more of these sights. When you complete the picturesque descent down to Thuli Kharka, your incredible trekking day will conclude.
You will travel to Kothe on the downhill trail. On the way, the Hinku Valley, Kusum Kanguru, Peak 43, and the south face of Mera Peak are all magnificently visible. A lovely pine and rhododendron forest traversed along the trail.
The rhododendrons will be in full bloom and the trail will look exquisite if you travel there in the spring. You are in the Hinku Valley in Kothe. After taking in the view from the summits, you must descend through a short section of a straight hill. If you try to move quickly on this specific trail, you might fall. You will get to a neighborhood teahouse and spend the night in Kothe.
Today's destination is Thangnak, and to get there, you must once more walk along the Hinku River's riverbed. This riverside walk leads you in the direction of Gondishung. You can get to Gondishung by walking in the shadow of the Mera Peak and eating lunch there.
You can visit Lungsumgba Gompa, a Buddhist temple with a two-century history, a short distance from the Gondishung. People firmly think that the Mera Peak Climbing is successful if the shrine at this Gompa is lit.
The terrain becomes easier from here on out, allowing you to take in the stunning surroundings. With little discomfort and a wealth of sights, you will arrive at Thangnak. Thangnak is pastureland where villagers only come to feed their yaks in the summer.
You will trek to Khare today. Your ascent is gradual, making the short climb challenging. You will move beyond the glacial lake of Charpati Tal as you ascend the Dig Glacier. Then you will approach Dig Kharka gently. From here, you can have stunning views of the Charpati Himal, Mera Peak, and Kyeshar Glacier. Before arriving in Khare, ascend the Hinku Nup and Shar glaciers.
At the base of Mera Peak is Khare, commonly known as the Mera Peak Base Camp. There are a few teahouses as well as shops selling climbing supplies. You will check into a lodge and then take in the magnificent view of Mera Peak's north face.
You need to get well-adapted and familiar with the high altitude and the environment. To prevent altitude sickness and regain your strength, you will take a day of rest at Khare.
You will spend the whole day roaming around the settlements. You will even learn about mountain climbing. You will learn to use a harness and climbing gear and to ascend down the rocky slope. Learn how to tie knots and how to belay and rappel properly.
If this is your first ascent of a Himalayan mountain, this training will be beneficial for you as our knowledgeable climbing guides will impart some useful information and highly helpful advice to ensure a safe ascent.
After having breakfast, you will continue the journey. This section is more technically challenging than the prior trials. You must navigate the treacherous Mera glacier on your way to base camp.
You are aware that the glacier trails are more challenging to navigate than the regular ones.
To get to Mera Peak Base Camp, you must ascend a glacier. After reaching the base, you will set up your camp and rest for the night. The Mera Peak trek will include a few more nights of camping after today.
Today, you will follow a rocky, steep path to Mera La. The three summits of Mera Peak - Mera South (6,065m), Mera North (6,476m), and Mera Central - are magnificently visible (6,461m). You will reach Mera Peak high camp after a simple journey up the Mera Glacier. The hike is uncomplicated with a moderate incline.
There hasn't been any technical climbing up to this point. The only problems are the cold and high altitude, which make every step difficult. Comforting hot beverages and soup will be waiting for you at Mera High Camp, cooked by our local team.
Five of the fourteen eight-thousanders may be seen from high camp, including Makalu (8,485m), Cho Oyu (8,188m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Mount Everest (8,848m). After reaching high camp, you will set up your camp and rest for the night.
At 3:00 AM, you will get ready and head to the slopes. The spotlights will illuminate your man-rope-secured, rope-bound gait. You will gently ascend after crossing the Mera glacier. Although the terrain is not particularly challenging, the cold air and low oxygen content will make you move more slowly.
The hardest ascent is the final 30–50 meters to the summit. You will utilize a fixed rope and jumars to ascend a steep gradient to the icy dome of Mera Peak. 9-10 AM, you will reach the top.
You will be astounded by the vistas of numerous eight-thousanders and other peaks once you reach the summit. Some of these include Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, and Mt. Makalu. While seeing the mountains from the summit, you'll experience a tremendous amount of success. After all, your long-awaited desire has been fulfilled.
Before returning to Khare for the night, bask in the splendor!!
Higher regions have extremely erratic weather. The weather in the higher Everest region is never predictable, and this is also true for the Mera summit. Your summit day can change as a result of adverse weather.
As a result, this day serves as a backup in case the intended date is canceled due to inclement weather. However, if everything went as anticipated during the Mera Peak Climbing, you can continue your expedition as scheduled.
You will travel via Thangnak on that section before arriving at Kothe. Since most of the path is downhill, walking on downhill trails is simpler and faster. You will descend in elevation as you follow the same trail back from Khare to Kothe.
The majority of your stroll will take place in a lush forest of oak, pine, and rhododendron trees. You'll enjoy the pleasure of going again on the same track because of the descending trails and beautiful foliage.
Unlike the previous day, today's walk comprises more uphill than downhill sections. As you move towards the western side of Hinku Valley, you will pass along routes through the forest. Most of them are covered with Rhododendron trees. You will visit Thuli Kharka for a second time
After a final ascent of a route, we reach Thuli Kharka, a summer camp for nearby yak herders. Now is the chance to catch up on any missed mountain vistas from the Thuli Kharka.
You will once more cross the 4,600-meter-high Zatrwa La pass after leaving Thuli Kharka. You will get to the pass in about two hours. The vista is breathtaking, and you can see some of the trails you have traveled. Amazing-looking mountains are Number Himal, Kongde, Dudh Kunda, and Khumbila. Then you will descend a trail and walk to Lukla.
You will enjoy a satisfying supper in Lukla. You have a small celebration in the evening to mark the accomplishment of your journey.
When you leave on an early flight to Kathmandu, your time in Lukla will come to an end. After taking in the overhead beauty of Nepal, you will arrive at Kathmandu airport in 45 minutes. We will deliver you to your hotel.
You still have time for a city tour since you will arrive in Kathmandu before midday. Therefore, you can go out if you have missed any of the sightseeing. Otherwise, you can simply relax in your hotel bed after a tiring journey.
Our representative will drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and bid you farewell. It was a memorable journey to the peak. We are honored to lead you and assist you in achieving your dreams.
