Situated in the middle of the Tibetan plateau and the Dhaulagiri ranges lying to the western part of Nepal are an isolated area and one of the remote destination. Previously, the whole district was closed to travelers and trekkers but since 1989, it was officially announced as trekking area.

The trek is outset after visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, the capital city. After exploring the sites, we take a flight to Jhupal from Nepalgunj then our trek begins through remote locations and areas cherishing the beautiful and fabulous rain shadow landscape of the Himalayas that is reflected in the colorful barren slopes of the mountains viewing the beautiful place where the play of light and shadow is a never-ending, fantastic and spectacle.

During the trekking, we pass through unique and beautiful villages, other different trekking routes and meet delightful people living there. We will also explore few high mountain passes and enjoy the vast and pastoral beauty of Phoksundo Lake.

    Day 21 :  Trek from Dunai to Jhupal (2330m)3 hours

    Day 22 :  Jhupal to Nepaljung and kathmandu by flight.

    Day 23 :  Free day in Kathmandu.

  • Day to Day Detail Itinerary

    Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

    Upon the arrival at Tribhuban International Airport, a representative from Adventure High Pass will receive you and transfer to the hotel have booked We will go to Adventure High Pass if you arrive earlier in a day, if not we will make settlement of due amount and introduce guide.

    Day 2 : Trek preparation and city tour

    Today, we tour to heritage sites at Kathmandu. We start a guide tour from your hotel to four heritage site in Kathmandu which is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First we visit to Pashupatinath Temple situated in Gausala and banks of Bagmati River where Aryaghat, famous funeral site for Hindus lies. After sightseeing, we visit to Boudhanatha, the Buddhists shrine which is one of the largest stupa in the world. Boudhhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages that include over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries and popular tourist destination. Tour leads to Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur holds the medieval king’s palaces who had ruled over Kathmandu Kingdom once. Our last tour will be Swayambhu (the self-existent) which is one of the famous touristic areas where we find large number of monkey population. After sightseeing, we go back to you hotel and you can take rest and prepare for trekking.

    Day 3 : Fly to Nepalgunj and stay at hotel

    Next day, we will take a flight from Kathmandu to Nepal experiencing Himalaya views. Afetr we reach Nepalgunj, we will transfer to the Hotel we have booked.

    Day 4 : Fly from Nepalgunj to Jhupal and same day trek to Sulighat (2070m) 3 hours

    After we take our breakfast at hotel, we will transfer to Nepalgunj where we take a flight to Jhupal experiencing high mountains. After we arrive Jhupal, we will get porters who will carry our luggage then we have our lunch then walk down towards Thuli Bheri River bank, passing terraced field and beautiful village. The trail heads to the today’s destination Sulighat crossing the bridge. Here we stay overnight at the Hotel.

    Day 5 : Trek from Sulighat to Renje (3010m)5-6 hours

    Next morning we head to Renje. The trail passes through the bridge and heads Jyalhasa which is the settlement of Rimgmo village. Walking up and down the hill, we reach the trail junction to Phoksundo Lake then to Chepka. From Chepka, we climb up a small ridge crossing west side and continue upstream and finally reach renje campsite.

    Day 6 : Trek from Renje to Ringmo Village (3640m) and Phoksundo Lake (3630m) 5-6 hours

    From the Renje, we walk through up ridge then down the wooden bridge leading us to Pungma River and the Phoksundo River lying along the valley floor. We cross the Phuksundo River and to the forest of Birch and Chir pine from where we climb up to the Ringmo a charming village.

    Day 7 : Trek from Phoksundo Lake to Phoksundo Khola (3630m)4-5 hours

    After breakfast, the hike continues peripheral the shore of the lake because it curves on a rocky ridge on the western bank of the lake. The path is uneven and is suspended on a gangway of wood that's maintained by pegs driven into the cleft within the rocks -the 1st example of the remoteness of the realm. As we have a tendency to reach the west fringe of the lake, the trail leads through lush grassland that later reveal into the flood plain of the Phoksundo stream.     Day 8 : Trek from Phoksundo Khola to Phoksundo Bhanjyang (4120m) 6-7 hours

    After taking breakfast, we continue our trail from Phoksundo Khola to Phoksundo Bhanjyang (4,120m) which takes about 6 to 7 hours of walk. During the trail we come across Ghyampo Kapuwa River through a glacial valley, cross wooden bridge. Through the top, we can view Kang La pass. We will camp in Bhanjyang.

    Day 9 : Trek from Phoksundo Bhanjyang to Shey Gumpa (4390m) Via Kang La- Pass (5160m) 5-6 hours

    We wake up early, have breakfast and head to Kang La pass. The steep path affected by slate talus makes the walk quite strenuous. The highest of the pass presents the superb read of the big vale cut across into 2 halves by a gushing watercourse. As we tend to descend from the pass, the trail leads us on an extended winding trek on the banks of the river that needs to be crossed it many times. we walk past the grassland and also the previous roving hut of the herders.     Day 10 : Acclimization day

    Day 11 : Trek from Shey Gumpa to Namgung Village (4430m) via Saldang La- Pass (5010m) 6-7 hours

Then a zigzag path over blank rocks and coarse scoured soil can lead us to the highest of Saldang La. The long, exhausting path steeply descends north till we see the primary sight pastures of grazing yaks and sheep and wandering tents. This is often an indication that we are approaching towards the Namgung village. Before long we are going to see a red stone structure build against the background of a cliff on the north wall of a gorge. The structure is Namgung monastery of the Karma-pa sect that has currently folded. We are going to explore the monastery, village and therefore the close area. The night is spent within the tented camp in Namgung village.

    Day 12 : Trek from Namgung to Sadlang (3660m) 4-5 hours

    Leaving the gorgeous village of Namgung, we are going to head towards today’s destination, after breakfast. Initially, we ascend a formation slope then continue on the dust-covered barren mountains. after some hours of arduous climb, we will be greeted by the picturesque read of Saldang (the largest village of the Inner Dolpo) below on a highland high on top of the Nam Khongmala. we walk all the manner all the way down to Saldang.     Day 13 : Trek Sadlang to Yangjze (4960m) 4-5 hours

    After breakfast at Saldang, the path more heads north towards the destination, Yangze Gompa.     Day 14 : Trek from Yangjze to Sibu (4560m) 6-7 hours

    Day 15 : Trek from Sibu to Jeng- La Phedi (4900m) 5-6 hours

    After breakfast, we depart from Sibu to Jeng La Phedi. First, we continue following constant Nam Khong stream. However, later we flip east and continue till we stumble upon the confluence of 2 tiny tributaries. From here, we walk all the far to rock bottom (Phedi) of the Jeng La. The night is spent during a tented camp in Jeng La Phedi.

    Day 16 : Trek from Jeng- La Phedi to Do Tarap (4080m) via Jeng- La Pass (5090m) 6-7 hours

    After breakfast at the Phedi, around 2 hours of uphill climb can take us to the highest of the Jeng La pass that greets us with an exquisite view of snow ranges and therefore the north face of mountain peak geological formation. When spending your time here on the pass, we descend through rough path towards the Tarap valley. Round the afternoon, we return to the inexperienced valley, that more leads us on a nice track down towards Tarap Chu. On the way, we conjointly visit Tokyu monastery belonging to Chaiba sect.     Day 17 : Acclimitization day

    Day 18 : Trek from Do Tarap to Tarap Khola (3800m) 6-7 hours

Around the afternoon, we reach the confluence of the Tarap Chu and also the Lang stream. We walk more towards the grassland in Karmakharka, where we started our camp for long stay.     Day 19 : Trek from Tarap Khola to Khanigaun ( 3150m)

    After breakfast, we continue on a path down the gorge of Tarap River. We'll continue till we reach the encampment spot beside the Tarap River at Khanigaon. The night is spent in an exceedingly tented camp in Khanigaon.

    Day 20 : Trek from Khanigaun to Dunai (2030m) via Tarakot (2537m) 5-6 hours

    We walk through the dense forest and gorge continuing the river flow downstream to reach Tarakot. We cross the terraced fields, cross bridge and descend down the bank of Thuli Bheri River leading us to Dunai. We stay overnight.

    Day 21 : Trek from Dunai to Jhupal (2330m)3 hours

    From Dunai, we continue our walk to the flat trail along Thuli Bheri River, crossing terraced fields and villages, we will reach Jhupal which is about 3 hours of walk.

    Day 22 : Jhupal to Nepaljung and kathmandu by flight.

    we will take a flight from jhupal to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu.

    Day 23 : Free day in Kathmandu.

    Have relax and shopping.

    Day 24 : Extra day in Kathmandu

    Chill in Kathmandu with your final day.

    Day 25 : Departure
