About Trip:

Upper Mustang Trekking is an excursion to the previous veiled Kingdom of Lo. It was inexplicable for centuries and revealed as a gem to explore for the adventure lovers, including in restricted area list since 1992. You need to obtain a special trekking permit for this caravan route exploration dotted with the colorful monasteries, sandy caves, chhortens and the cultural hub of the Upper Mustang region- Lomanthang. 

Upper Mustang trek begins from Jomsom after a short Himalayan flight from the city of Lakes to the Himalayan paradise. Embarking along the Kali Gandaki River bank reaches to Kagbeni, which is an ancient and significant cultural destination for the Hindu and Buddhist devotees. 

Following the historical caravan foot loaded with the hidden cultural gem, you will be awarded with the historical and colorful monasteries, chhortens and mani walls. The white washed walls of the traditional settlements and the arid landscape gradually leads you to the delighting cultural center of the Upper Mustang, Lomanthang, which is surrounded by the stone walls.  

Exploring around Lomanthang, you will get an outstanding experience to discover the centuries old living standards, Tibetan Buddhist cultural weight, monasteries, seasonal wild flowers, and buckwheat and barley fields along with the caves.
